    Of Challenge and Waiting

As we always know, or seen through our eyes, facing the challenge is always difficult even though we're fully prepared for it. The reason behind is simple: we human are never ready to face anything. No matter how prepared us are, a part of us still resist to face-up with the difficulties. Such are human's nature.

However, today's main topic isn't on this particular matter. I always thought that facing the problem is always the toughest thing in the world (at least in myown point of view), but little did I know, something proves to be harder than this.

On the decisive Monday in December where I had my ACCA finals, I fought head-on with one of my worst nightmare, the Advanced Taxation paper. In the past, I believe that I had worked so hard and I didn't deserve a failure. At least not such a close failure at 48 mark which shatter my iron will towards studies. The fact was that, I didn't give in even close to 40% of my efforts for this round; there was blockade in my mind that was busy telling me to give up. The voice was so alluring that it took almost superhuman will to resist.

I thought, with the trauma I was facing, it proved to be the most difficult thing to go for a second round battle with my nightmare. But little did I know, waiting was actually the tougher one. Waiting for the unforeseen and waiting for uncertainty. These two alone were more than enough to send a normal person crazy.

She told me that initially, but I couldn't believe, at least until the following Wednesday of that week where I had to go through the longest 3 hours I ever waited in my life. She had to face with her worst nightmare too, and for that, I was dreaded with concern. I waited and waited alone, keep thinking how was she performing and fearing her that she might not perform well enough. A fact was that, I couldn't concentrate at all in the library at all.

With that, I could draw up a simple equation right here: Waiting is more painful as compared to facing the challenge yourself. That is the reason why you should always strive for the best and give in all of your might, so that the person who's waiting for your return will be rewarded in your future success.

    A lesson learned.

    Comfort Zone

Well, do you know each one of us has our own "comfort zone", which shows us how are we going to behave around people, especially strangers.

At least, this must have occurred to you: when a stranger approaches, out of your natural reaction, your body will definitely tensed up even the slightest bit. You may not notice it, but it's there. The reason is simple -- because they're stepping into our comfort zone, and thus, we feel a bit awkward to that.

Another example I read from a book, is that people tend to focus their attentions inside the lift onto the floor display screen. Again, it is due to their individual comfort zone is being invaded as they are forced to stay in such a constricted space, and inadvertently their eyes linger around, and the awkwardness will be diverted to the screen.

But this isn't the main topic I'm going to discuss today. The one I'm going to elaborate is that, well, how are we going to behave around strangers versus friends.

You do notice right, as we are getting closer with our friends, we actually "allow" them to step into our own comfort zone without realizing it. The closer we are, the closer proximity they can stay around us. Of course, towards strangers, like I mentioned above, we act the other way round.

That's why I'd like to say, staying around strangers actually DO bring up the tension level in our bodies. Our bodies will become more rigid, muscles tensed up, we feel awkward and slightly uncomfortable. A chain reaction, I'd say, and this way our energy drains away faster. Take another situation, where we are around our friends, we can behave in a more comfortable manner, and we feel more relaxed. This leads to us releasing the tension level to a certain level, and results in lesser energy loss.

I may not have any research base or evidence for my sayings, but I do believe, as I have experienced it in the past, that what I have said are according to my observation so far.

So, the question here is, what do you think about it? How do you feel and behave around strangers and also your friends?

    Advantages vs. Disadvantages

Advantages versus Disadvantages, in my very opinion, is a fundamental thinking in our daily life. Everything that we're involved in, we would look at its goods and also its bads, and by taking into consideration of each point, we will weight our decision based on the issues involved. That's the reason behind everyone's decision will differ as these are actually related to our own opinions and experiences.

Allow me to drift away from this topic for a while. To support my point above, I'd like to mention that a very obvious example is what we "deem" as worthwhile to spend our money on. Say, a pianist or guitarist of course values a higher quality musical instrument better; to us, we'd usually retort by saying, "why should we spend such a huge amount money on something like that?". Like that, it's a very strong word here.

Actually, this is based on the underlying value-adding factor which different people views differently. Some people may say that a better pen gives better comfort, so purchasing a higher-end writing pen will definitely worth it. However, things may not be the same for people who views writing as another repetitive action in our life, and writing with any pen will not make any difference at all. As long as the pen can produces the necessary outcome.

Let's come back to our main topic: Advantages vs. Disadvantages are actually dangerously similar to what I've mentioned above -perhaps it's the same things when viewed from a particular viewpoint. In our everyday's life, we are judging stuff subconsciously in our mind all the time. I believe, we actually rank stuffs, too, all along.

Believe it or not, I think even we do apply this when we're making a friend. At least to a certain extent. We know which friends do we make, and of course, what benefits we can acquire from them. You may be saying that I'm materialistic, but I'd say you can't deny the fact that the thought of this didn't cross over your mind even for the slightest bit.

What I mean, well, is that this is the way which our mind words, and the beauty here is that, we as friends, will usually choose to ignore or look-away at this kind of "Advantages vs. Disadvantages" thinking. Some people allow the idea to overwrite their judgmental capabilities, and that's when it leads us into calling them "materialistic people" -- I, for one, hate these sort of people. Making friends should be a straightforward process which involves no complications. It should be something naive (in a good way, of course), and we shouldn't make friends because what we can gain in return. We should make friend for the sake of making friend. As simple as that.

Before I'm ending this, I'd say that even though "Advantages vs. Disadvantages" is a fundamental thinking to our mind, still we can control and deal with it. Actually, this is similar to jealousy's case which we can manage it in a positive manner.

    Happily-Ever-After

As I have mentioned somewhere before, I don't believe in "Happily-Ever-After" or perhaps, "Fairytales".

To me, I think that fairytales are stories fabricated to ease the pain and sorrow of human being. These happy moments, and also fantasy imaginations, are actually a double-edged sword in disguise. To put them in a more favourable term, people call them happy memories. Yeah, that's true until a certain extent, but to turn it the other way round, we can call it a temporaral painkillers for the longer pain they are going to withstand in the near future.

I'd say, this is the fundamental behind everything. That's solely because, life is linked with the chinese term called "生老病死". As human being, death is inevitable, and thus, we cannot achieve immortality. Life is limited, but while we're staying on this world, we create happy or sad memories with the people around. Of course, we'd try our best to forget the sad ones while retaining the positive counterpart. Little did we know, this is equal to accumulating our own pain.

Let's take an example from the practical world. Whenever there's departure of our close-relation, we will definitely feel distraugthed, also struck by fear and sorrow. Think over it? Why do we feel so sad from it? Because they are close to us? Nay, that's one of the reason, but the main reason is due to the happy memories we shared with them. This has been the root of our pain, inevitably triggered as we can no longer create these sort of memories with them anymore. That's why I can reach for the conclusion of, unbeknownst to us, sharing more memories with a someone creates more pain.

Still don't believe me? Take an easier example. Comparing the depature of a parent or a stranger, which one would give you a larger impact?

Somewhat after thinking over the matter, I think "Happily-Ever-After" is a hanging sentence by itself. It's an unfinished gem which requires polishing. In fact, it should be something like this.

    "Happily-Ever-After-Until-They-Die"

And, happy memories are actually one amongst the root of our pain.

    Of Religion and People

Take note that this post will touch about religious stuffs, and for those who are sensitive towards this issue, please do not read any further.

Thank you for your cooperation. :)

Well, what do people usually call those over-religious believers as?

Think about it for a second...Maybe you and I are thinking the same thing.

They're people who blindly follows a certain religion and they have turned into empty vessels for the beliefs.

To my horror, through my friend's blog, I figured out that there's people who says that non-Christians go to hell simply for being non-Christians.

I must admit I'm shocked from hearing that. Do Jesus Christ really thinks that way? Seriously, I don't think so.

This takes me back to what my lecturer once said. "If a person dies in the middle of the Amazon jungle, and since he's no believer of any religion, will he goes to hell simply because he doesn't believe in anything for particular? Or maybe, he's stuck in between heaven and hell?

Funny when I refer back to the situation. I think, at times, people are too obsessed with a certain belief too much and have become an empty vessel themselves. Nothing inside them is about them, and that means they've practically lost their personal uniqueness.

And also, my lecturer has raised a point that, all books from different religions are written ages ago, and applying them into the life today is somewhat not practical. In the other words, they're simply outdated. The main reason is the decision we make will change over the course of time as we people evolves. It's just like few hundred years ago parents determining whom their daughter will be married to is simply obsolete nowadays.

I'm not saying that the teaching in Bibles, Al-Quarn, or etc isn't good, but I'm just saying to choose the right thing to believe in.

And let me drift slightly away from the main issue. Why do we people have to separate ourselves with religions, unions, tribes, or etc when we all can work as a single united nation itself? Why do we have to differentiate among ourselves, and distinguishing who we are is so important that it arouses war?

Just like my friend said, it's plain stupid. Even Chinese people have so many tribes. The Teochew, Guangdong, Hokkien, Hakka, and etc.

    "I'm Teochew lang."

    "Hokkien lang here."

    -_-'

Hey, gimme a second. Aren't we all the yellow-skinned chinese people? Why can't we just be proud of ourselves and take pride as Chinese people instead of calling ourself so proudly in front of the others.

It makes me laugh just to think about that.

Sometimes I think that human race is sort of stuck at their current maturity level. I think that something gotta be done to improve so that we can evolve to the next phase.

Sigh, that's all for now, and people, don't kill me for writing out my thoughts. I'm just stating my own opinion in a true & fair view only, though.

    About Being Rich

Today, I'd like to try link the keyword "rich" to my personal experience while I was playing game ages ago.

Why I'm doing this suddenly? That's because I've just found a strong reassemblance of the feelings and likeliness in this game.

First of all, just like what my tax lecturer has mentioned during his class, on our stage (teenager-adult), we don't have enough money to spend, but instead, what we have in return is the maximum happiness we derived from all sort of experiences. And as we get older, we have money but the happiness is fast diminishing. This is really true when I tried to form a link between the two subjects I'm about to talk about.

I'm going to illustrate it with Warcraft 3 - Ladder Game scenario. Let's see, it doesn't matter you, the reader, possess any sort of experience in this game or not, I'll try to write it in the way which everyone will understand.

When you commence the game, the first thing utmost important thing that you need to do is to gather gold in order for you to have sufficient funds to build up your empire. Your objective, is of course, being the richest and squash your enemy. As to how you're going to achieve that, it isn't important in this case. Your primary concern now is none other the everyone's beloved gold, which is your source of income at the moment.

At this particular moment, gold means a lot to you, and without it you can hardly survive (though that you may still be able to achieve that); that's exactly the same as to our teenager years. But as you grow your empire larger, you'll need more funding to support the kingdom. I'd dub that building up a family and having a child, which is a critical moment that money more than everything to you (in order for you to provide your newborn child with the best thing you could've afford).

    See the similiarities?

As you proceed towards the next stage of the game, you'll need money to obilerate your enemies, but not as much as you need them previously. This is because what you have now are tangible assests, all being realised into substances and have their own physical forms. Things are being established and slow down as you go, and in my case, it's having an ample amount of property assets and having them as my passive source of income.

This is where management kicks in. In game, you'll utilise your assets and crush your enemies into dusts, while in real life, you'll try your best to secure them in order not to let other people take them away. The only difference in both situation is that, one is on the offensive side, while the other takes on a defensive stance.

Okay, this is when it makes a major difference in life. Till date (where you have a lot of incomes), money means little to nothing to you in game right, especially when your enemies are done for good, and what's left are the scattered troops which you'll take time to extinguish. Until now, in the case of real life, money can buy a very little amount of happiness for you. The main reasons might be due to:

    • You're having too much of them until they don't really mean anything to you anymore.
    • You've got wealth, but you don't possess the other keys to happiness - health & time.
    • and etc...

And when like, say, you've got an uncurable disease, monetary values will means nothing to you right? What's most important is that what you gain in exchange of those money. Time spent with your friends, family? Bought your happiness back? Made other people around you happy (donations)? Tried to make the world a better place?

    Your pick.

Overall, what I'd like to convey is that, being rich is to sustain or provide you with a wealthy life, but what's more important is that what goes around, comes around. I believe this is one of the main reason why most of the accountants, being the calculative type of person they are, fail to become the world's richest man. They're being just, urm, too selfish sometimes in my own opinion. No offense to anyone, but, I think life is all about sharing experiences, thoughts, and happiness together right, don't you think so?

So, for conclusion, learn how to earn a lot of money, but don't forget to spend and derive happiness before the diminshing return takes away all the joy and fun. Don't forget life is so full with meanings yeah!

    Logical vs. Creativity

Well, I've been stressing this out too many times in the past, but this time I think I should write it out.

In my personal opinion, I think too many people take life too seriously. What I mean by serious is, to me, life is all about enjoyment, not getting stressed out for everything in your life.

Thus, I dare to say, life is about getting as crazy as possible.

The definition of the craziness, of course, isn't the ordinary lunatic type, but getting as wild as you can with the infinite power that originates from your mind.

Do what you feel like you should do.

Say what you feel like you shold say.

Try what you feel curious about.

This is because once your mind stop function (i.e. the day you die, or the day your brain dies), you won't have any more chance to do so. I believe our mind is the greatest gift from God, and that is the reason why we're superior to other species.

Back to our topic, I'd like to quote one line here:

    "Why so serious?"

Sometimes, I got irked by those people who seeks for absolute logical. First of all, I think these people are narrow-minded (I'd say they could only see things 'straight', but not the other way round), and secondly, I'm pretty certain they're lack of some creativity.

You'd ask me, that's not true, but think about it again. Usually, they just stick to a single point (and try to find supporting facts to assist their argument), but too bad, I don't think the world works that way. The reason is simple, because this world is changing on a daily basis. What is reasonable now, may or may not be logical tomorrow, so there are bound to be changes. Moreover, we CAN always reach for the same answer in lot of ways - just the same as how Mathematics works.

And my best defensive statement will be that of, these facts are all created by human beings, thus there are bound to be errors in term of judgmental. This is why people keeps on revising theory & standards/laws (or simply come out with a new stuff replace the existing one).

That's the reason why, I think creativity (a.k.a. innovation in certain viewpoint) is the most important things that makes the world goes around.

I know you'd tell me not everyone is born with a good amount of creativity, but mind you, I believe the reason is because they never utilize it in the first place. Newborn children are all gifted with a certain level of such talent, and it's entirely up to them to polish it, or just grab someone's else thinking and stick with it, which is what we call - beliefs. So that's why I believe those people, or children, who take up early interest in arts or any creative-related interest will outshine the others -in term of creativity- when they grow up.

If you still aren't convinced, let me ask you something. Say, when you enjoyed the beautiful art or design of someone, don't you ever think you can do that if you give it a try, or perhaps, after some training? I believe it's entirely achievable, cause it's just a matter of how much efforts/time you're willing to pay in.

    Nothing comes for free.

People tends to shy away from creativity due to few main reasons:
    • Laziness (the greatest enemy of mankind)
    • Excuses (.having not enough time, bla bla bla...)
    • Influence by 3rd party (friends tell you can't do it, then you give up)
    • Self-esteem issue (I can't do it, man! I've heard that countless time)
Oh, I forget to mention, also the lack of passion. :)

Linking back to the topic, I'd say creativity is the source of almost everything. It is because of such talent, we human can invent new items, develop new theories, create different arts. Not forget to mention, movies exists because people transforms their creativity in real pictures.

That's why I'm saying now, think out of the box. Nothing is absolute in this world, and we can always reach for the conclusion with different ways. It's just like taking another way to go back your home when your usual path is stuck with traffic jam.

For conclusion, I'm not saying that being logical isn't good, but there are times for us to be wild, certainly. Just like the saying - study hard, but play hard too. In the end they're both the same concept, but just being applied in different situations. Just try not to tie up yourself too hard to the reality cause it's very tiring, as the solution people usually seek were to escape the realism through movies. (fantasy thingy~)

    You get the idea, right?

Certainly a long post, but I'm not sure whether I've mention everything that I'm trying to say. If I find any missing in the future, I'll write out another additional post to support this one.

    Until then. Cheers~

    Worship and Referance

Well, self-help books are always helpful, but it all depends on how the readers think about it.

People always say take the book as a reference only, and it's true. Why? This is because the author himself/herself, being a human, is just merely expressing his/her opinion to share with everyone. They're bound to make mistake, and their thinking is not absolute. That is why we have so many people debating over some issue that arises from different school of thoughts. I do admit that, however, there are some reading materials that are published for the reason of brainwashing the poor readers into accepting their thoughts. In the other word, brainwashing and forcing the ideas into someone's mind via an indirect, and also convincing way.

So, I call it worshiping, instead of taking it as a mere reference.

And that's the worst thing that could ever happen to readers. Some may simply replace their own humanity (beliefs, morality, etc) with this new one instead. Good thing, the thinking might help them to be a better human, but the bad is that he/she will just turns into a mere puppet/pawn, or I call it, slave to the mind of the author/authoress.

The good is only applicable if only it has good values, or only IF the readers apply it in a correct manner. To define my last sentence, what I'm about to say is that do it in a right way.

(the example given below is completely for illustrative purposes and not to flame anyone)

Say, a book may suggest you one kind of investing ideas. The reader captures the meaning, literally though, and goes for what the author has mentioned; he succeed and become rich, but at the expense of the poor people.

So much for being a rich person...Little did he know that the true meaning of being rich is not only in term of wealthiness, but also spiritually. Be kind, and that's the reason why so many rich people likes to do charity works to help the needy. For most of them, I believe the idea comes from the depth of the heart.

Oh my, didn't expect this post will goes so long. But overall as a conclusion, I think in most of the situations, readers will be the one who will ultimately distinguish between taking the material as a reference or worshiping it. The line that split the two words is really thin, and it's really easy to mix up between both of them.

After all, to accept it or not, it's all up to the readers, right?

    Being Responsible

Actually, I'm really tired of seeing irresponsible human beings in this world.

And, being irresponsible is these people are not willing to take up the burden of the decision they made.

Below are the simple examples which happens in everyday's life.

    Non-gamers:
A group leader made a bad decision that leads to the downfall of his group. Then, he blames on his group members for not contributing enough for them to success.

    Gamers:
They blame all sort of things (like mouse, keyboard, lagness, and any fanciful reasons) after losing a game.

Why do they blame on external factors? For a simple reason: to make themselves feel better. Bearing a responsibility isn't easy, and at anytime, at anywhere, you should be prepared to be blamed or scolded by the others. The burden is heavy, but in today's life, if there's no one to take up the responsibility, there won't be success.

And also, if we never get things done wrong, we won't learn from our mistakes.

I've seen too much of this in my life. My brother, he's a good guy, but still, he still don't know how to take up some responsibilities. We always play games, have fun, but occasionally when he lose, he'll blames the environment that leads to his defeat. And, it's not even possible that his mouse has more problem when my mouse can barely glide through the crude computer table. Anyway, back to the topic. So, as an elder brother, I'm trying to teach him to be responsible for himself and I hope one day I will succeed (at least before he goes into the working world :P).

So, blaming others is yet, another human's nature which is hard to conquer. It's possible, but it's gonna take time. I remembered I've used up quite some time before I finally got over it. Still, I'm not perfect :) ; there are situation where my subconsciousness got the better of me.

For conclusions, people out there, tell me what you think about this, or perhaps, criticize me if I got any point wrong.

    Death

Death is not only the inevitable, but it also plays the role as the human's greatest fear. I strongly believe that no one in this world is not afraid of death, cause it's the ultimate toll of humanity and it couldn't be avoided no matter how we try to avoid it.

I have to admit, I myself, too, is afraid of death.

Why? People have a lot of reasons, and of course, I have mine too. Mine's being that after such a long way of accumulating experiences throughout my life, I have to lose it all in one instance which we call - death. But, this is rebuttable by a relieving fact, which is to impart the knowledge you learn from your life to your children. Thanks to a friend who taught me this concept, I feel a-whole-lot better by thinking that way, and it's really exciting to teach your son/daughter everything you know, or think that they should know.

A bit off the topic, sorry guys and girls. This itself, though, couldn't erase the fact of my fear towards death. Once in a while, I have the kind of flash forward scene and I will imagine how exactly will I feel without my parents.

I love my parents a lot, especially my mom, but even though it pains me to the depth of my heart, the fact that she's going to leave me one day in the future is not going to change. It's really horrible just to think about that, I can assure you, to the extent that you'll break into tears and don't know what to do or say. There's no doubt that it'd be thousand time more heartbreaking than ending a relationship.

But, what could we do? Nothing can stop us from dying one day, and it's just a matter of time before it happens. Possibly today? Tomorrow? Or perhaps, the next second from now?

Who knows? The clock is ticking, but we're only allowed to amuse ourselves that it won't come so soon.

Think about it. Since it's inevitable to face this part of life, why don't we try to enjoy each and every moment while we still have NOW? Rather than worrying about death, just try to seek fun of everyday's activities and conversations with your family and friends. We might not know what's going to happen tomorrow, so we have to cherish what we have now as the time we have in play currently is solid, tangible, and also touchable. We possess it, and no one other than us hold the rights to it.

And also, never regret what you have in your life.

珍惜眼前人, I wonder can this phrase apply to the whole topic? XD

    Being Important

Well, being an ordinary human, I guess we're bound to think how important are us to other people? It's definitely a question which we will hardly get a "convincing" answer even though we force it out from our friends.

First of all, this is all my personal opinion on viewing this matter. It is not absolutely correct, but still, I choose to believe in how I view this issue.

I believe each of us are important in our own rights, i.e. we may or may not consciously realize how we can affect the others through simple words or actions, but then, it's there. Each of us is who we are today, all thanks to the people all around us, no matter its friends or enemies, family or siblings. People just keep on communicating, leaving their marks of existence in each other without knowing the fact that we did.

That's why I believe it's the reason why we are social creatures.

My friend dubbed it "The Butterfly Effect", which is true up until an extent. At least in term of the concept.

As for myself, I think it's more convincing to say that: "there's always someone who dream/think about you everyday in the night".

Take myself for an example, I used to be such a playful guy which knows exactly nothing other than playing game. That's the old me, but thanks to the existence of her -the second her- in my life, I changed. To be a better person, to be specific. More matured in terms of thinking, brings me into a whole new perspective to view this world, and paints my life with colours. Even though she's not destined to be mine, nor I think I am suitable for her, but still, she has my heartfelt gratitude. She affected my life in the most subtle way, though that she might not be aware of the fact itself.

    This is our power.

So, people out there who still think you are so insignificant in your life, try to give it a look from a brand new perspective. Start looking at your most precious person, a.k.a. family members. They'd be the first one to worry about you, think about you, and the next one will be your partner. Lucky if you have one. And then your friends.

They are all who they are because of your existence. You aren't completely unimportant to them. I'd say, they're either just too shy or oblivious to the fact that you're making a small difference in their life.

Cheers, guys and girls. Life is really interesting, and enjoy it while you still can. :)

    Human's Nature

Well, humans are fragile creatures. They won't believe in something unless they see the naked true before their eyes.

And then they lie: white-lies, lie-to-children, bluffing, misleading, manipulation. Why does human lies? Answer, to protect themselves? Sometimes? but think properly, it isn't the case all the time.

Apart from that, I admit that I was once a self-pitying person, but I'm now no more. I've changed, in a better or worse way, you decide. But the fact that I'm going to say, right now, is -most- of the humans are self-pitying creatures.

    Why?

When they face some horrible events/consequences/scenarios, what will these kind of people do first? Easy. Pity themselves. What's in their mind are full with these nonsense...

"I'm the most pitiful person in the earth"

"No one in this earth suffers worse fate than I do."

"You will never understand my pain because you never experienced it."

    etc.

HELLO? Please, reflect at your own life so far, then look at your friend's. Who in this earth didn't suffers from pain before, either physically or mentally? Everyone does! It's just a matter of judgmental and difference in terms on scenarios/cases. They do experience pain & dilemmas, but it's just that they might not encounter it in the same way as you do.

Whenever something bad befalls me, I -as an ordinary human- will think it's sad, it's pitiful, and I will self-pity myself too. But well, when I think about there are people out there who suffers worse fate that I am, I -will- feel contented with what I have now.

I have a friend -5 years younger than I am- who always complain about life, and how "flourishing" her relationship is to me. How naive she is, not sometimes, but all the time, and I'd term her relationship as what teachers called - puppy's love. A naivety love that suffers from so many weaknesses: mistrusts, manipulation, and not to forget, materialism.

And the worst is she's showing symptoms of depression sickness. Worrying too much when she's not suppose to, thinking too much that it complicates the whole situation, and also, worrying for the unpredictable future.

Why worry so much when life is so SHORT to involve hatred? I forget who said that, but I'll modify it a lil.

Why worry so much when life is so SHORT to involve sadness? Just stay happy and enjoy life to its maximum.

Don't believe? Compare a human's maximum lifespan, say 122 years (in the case of the longest live French woman) to divide with the minimum lifespan of a star - 1 billion year; max.= 10 billions.

122/1 billion! Do the maths yourself.

P/S: Oh please, don't sue me if the modified quote was some noble words from someone. I have no clue at all! *innocent winks*

Wahlau, win already lor. If I'm about to call her to give a speech to make someone feels pity upon her fate, she's gonna stand out as the champion. Definitely.

Anyway, lessons today: humans should try to appreciate the life they have now, currently. Imagine if you're those African children who don't even have enough foods to eat on a daily basis. Imagine if you're about to be stripped-off from your closest person, say, parents or your loved one for real.

    Think about it.

    Constructive Criticism

People always says that Constructive Criticism (CC) is always healthy. That's how it helps someone to get better, or to perform better in a certain field.

Well, that's just half-true I guess. Accepting a CC is not easy, at least not like what people normally says though. When someone critic your works, it feels really horrible. From my observation, I'd classify it the margin in between scolding and giving suggestion.

I had been frank to my thoughts all of these times, but since human is such a fragile creature (I'm gonna say I'm one of them too) that find it hard to accept those true, but ugly words, I made the decision not to pinpoint things out directly.

Why? Because there are cases where I have give my true and fair opinion on someone's work, and I got really shocked with the reply I receive. Maybe it was due to my poor grammar knowledge. Maybe I said things which I was not suppose to talk about (zone of no debate). Maybe that fella was in a bad mood that day. Or maybe I didn't use the correct words to deliver my message. I do not care.

P/S: You know even mere words can be a sharp sword that hurts someone when it is not being used properly.

It didn't happen to me for once, but twice, thrice, and more. Someone people just couldn't accept their own mistakes and people's true opinion; they choose to believe in lies.

Yes, lies. They want to hear things which they are expecting to hear from you. They want to hear sweet stuff, those praises, those compliments to bring their ego even higher. But what benefits it gives someone in a long run?

    Think about it.

No, right? Except if you're going to counter with, it boosts your confidence, then I got nothing to say.

People out there, I know CC might be quite harsh, pain in the heart, but it's important to make us a better person. Of course, there is exception where the same person keeps on pinpointing the same well-known error, wrongdoings, or the weakness of yourself. In that case, help me give that guy or girl a smack.

We are humans; we take times to improve ourselves. We are not god as we cannot achieve and master something in a single day.

Truly, I was very de-motivated from my friend's CC this evening . It pained so deeply in the heart that I was thinking about giving up, but I didn't. I know I had to improve myself in order to get better access of knowledge.

And now, I am going to be completely frank to this. The feeling is going to be very horrible, especially from a close friend, a special mate, or family. It's like there's nothing in this world for you to stand and the only solution to that is to suicide.

Humans are weird, yeah. They choose to believe in things which they could see, and occasionally, they choose to believe in their own pools of lying, then they got upset when somebody pinpoints it out.

But fear not, my friend, since this is how the world is supposed to be; it's just a matter of now or never. You gotta get used to it, as in the future, there's gonna be plentiful of CC that you're gonna receive from your colleagues, and also your boss. The earlier you get fond with it -transforming the negative feelings into sheer motivation that push you up even further- and the less time you'll spend in mourning.

    Believe me or not?

Anyway, I got to say, forgive me for my poor grammars. This should be the end of my nonsense, B.S. crapping.
