Oh my, after watching the music video for the song "握你的手" by 光良 for like a thousandth time, I finally understood the meaning behind the story.

Generally, the video depicts a love story between 光良& another girl. The sad thing is that, during halfway of the music the girl departs (as in, kicking the bucket, duh!) without leaving a word to our main character.

Then here comes the confusing part -- 光良, he is determined to create a mannequin that reassembles the girl. At first, I don't understand the meaning behind this, but today, when I was watching the final part where he holds the, urm, mannequin's hands, the true meaning behind this dawn upon my mind. The reason for this, we will need to refer the sentence which enlightened my doubts all the time.

以前每一次挥手　都为了再握手
但这一次　是为了放手

Well, does it clear your doubt? Actually, in my own opinion, I think he was trying to deliver the message that the reason behind his action was, he wanted to hold her hand for a final time, and it was a way of bidding farewell.

I'm not sure how to explain this, but generally I think it works that way. However, my opinion is of course subject to changes, and it may varies from person to person.

In the end, I'd say it's a very touching way to deliver a love story. Moving on and forth is very important as clinging too long to a single matter itself, and not being able to let go, is not called love. It's called obsession and silly.

To understand the story of a music video, to me it's a form of art. It's hard to understand the story, and it's even harder to direct and build up a successful music video.
