Sometimes I'm wondering, why does a novel story -especially romance genre- has to have vampires/werewolves as their central ideas, apart from all of the things that they can utilize to portray their stories even better?

Why has it to be vampire/werewolf?

It sounds really cliched, and not forget to mention it's boring and lame in my personal opinion. I've trained myself well enough to erase the existence of vampire/werewolf fictional stories from my area of interest, especially when I'm flipping through the excessively story-loaded side, Fictionpress.

I just don't understand.

I absolutely loath this sort of fiction, though I don't understand why I purchased Twilight around one year ago...
